We are committed to making a difference in the lives of children who struggle with catastrophic illnesses or who are economically underprivileged. We demonstrate this commitment through our partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, our support of New York City organizations, as well as our involvement with the Kids In Need Foundation. Our LOFT Loves Teachers program also supports this goal.

Partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children in communities everywhere. Since 2007 we have partnered with St. Jude during the holiday season by participating in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. We encourage our clients to join us during the giving season and support the children of St. Jude by adding a donation at checkout. In addition to a corporate contribution, our associates support St. Jude through donations of holiday gifts for patients and monetary contributions. Through our collective efforts, we raised nearly $4.2 million in 2011, bringing our total support for the past five years to over $11 million.



Kids In Need Foundation
Our LOFT brand is committed to supporting educators in their efforts to make a difference for our nation’s children. Through LOFT Loves Teachers, we are proud to be a national sponsor of the Kids In Need Foundation Teacher Grants Program. The mission of the Kids In Need Foundation is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies to students most in need. To date, we have distributed $50,000 annually to support more than 200 projects, benefiting 20,000 students across the U.S.

 Terri is a 5th grade teacher and recipient of several Kids In Need Teacher Grants. She is truly dedicated to her students, and works hard to get the funding to create exciting classroom experiences. She says:
“We are a low income school, with 73 percent students on free or reduced lunches, and the mantra of the students this year was ‘I don't like to read!’ Using the Strange, but True stories and Fact-tastic book series that LOFT and the Kids In Need Foundation provided was amazing! The students had no idea that reading could be so much fun. They begged to read all the books and did not want to stop for other subjects. I had to practically wrestle the books from them to keep them from taking the books home. You have no idea how much these types of grants mean to students who have gotten tired of school and aren't trying anymore. LOFT and Kids In Need – we appreciate your generous gift so much. It is an investment in these kids' futures.”

Support of NYC Organizations
As a company headquartered in New York City, we partner with local organizations to support underprivileged children as well. We support New Yorkers for Children and the All Stars Project, which offers inner-city school children supplemental educational, social and internship experiences.
